Oli-Lekhak Arrested
Nepal Police has finally arrested KP Sharma Oli and Ramesh Lekhak in connection with the Gen Z protest crackdown.
These arrests follow the recommendations of the Karki Commission & the report submitted by the NHRC for accountability over the excessive use of force and leadership failures.
Gen Z activists view this as a key step toward justice under the Balen government.

KP Sharma Oli and Ramesh Lekhak have been released on bail following the Supreme Court mandate.
Note: KP Sharma Oli was admitted to the IOM Teaching Hospital right after the arrest, citing his health complications, and has remained there since, triggering public outrage and allegations of evading custodial interrogation.
