Support Nepal’s Gen Z — Heal Lives, Restore Futures

Nepal's youth spoke out for dignity, accountability, and the hope of a better future. On September 8 and 9, countless Generation Z took to the streets, calling for equal opportunity, transparency, and corruption-free governance. Instead, they were subjected to brutality, with claims of live ammunition, indiscriminate firing, serious gunshot wounds, and numerous deaths. More than 70 young people have perished, with hundreds badly injured.

Support Nepal’s Gen Z — Heal Lives, Restore Futures | DSLF Nepal

These youths were not merely protesters; they were the very pillars of their families. Among them were children who carried books instead of burdens, breadwinners who carried the weight of entire families, and dreamers who carried the hope of a brighter tomorrow for themselves, their loved ones, and for Nepal.

In the Aftermath

  • Serious traumas: Gunshot wounds requiring surgery, lengthy hospitalisations, permanent disability or prosthesis.
  • Emotional trauma: Families shattered, survivors facing shock, grief, and dread.
  • Economic hardship: Many families left without income, struggling for food, shelter, and medicine.

Local volunteers and humanitarian groups are helping, but resources remain insufficient to meet the needs.
